Safari: Fault line
Shaken... not stirred!

On the safari we have privileged access to private land which just happens to contain the beginning of Wellington’s major faultline.  It's awe-inspiring depth and contours make for a memorable experience.  Many visitors leave shaken!

A faultline is a simply a weak place on the earth’s crust that gives way when the pressures and tensions get too much to bear – know the feeling?!  Our particular faultline is 80 kms (50 miles) in length, and goes right through our city of Wellington. It moves (on average) every 600 years – the last time it moved was around 1450, so we’re due for "the big one" soon.
